Straight body, clean shoulders, a hem that stops just below the waist: the Hermine shirt stays restrained where many shirts overdo it. The blue runs deep, close to ink in low light. This is the piece you reach for on a rushed morning.
Modal, a fabric that glides
It is cut from 100% modal, a fibre smoother and denser than ordinary viscose, with a very discreet matte sheen. The cloth does not bulk up under knitwear, which is exactly what you want from a shirt worn underneath something else. It hangs straight and holds few creases through the day.
How to layer it
Under a cropped fine-knit jumper, collar open and the shirt hem left showing over wide trousers: the simplest layering is still the best one here. The other route is to wear it open over a vest top, with a short leather jacket, straight jeans and square-toed boots. A long kimono across the shoulders takes over when the weather turns.

Care
Dry cleaning is what the house recommends for this piece. Between wears, a pass of steam releases the creases without flattening the fabric. Keep it on a wide hanger, away from direct light. Avoid a thin hanger, which ends up marking the shoulders.
