Ludovica, Blue and Its Flowers
A deep blue ground, flowers drawn across it, and a length that falls lower behind than in front: 148 cm at the front, 157 cm at the back. The dress moves on the bias and comes alive as you walk. The neckline closes with ties you can knot loose or tight, depending on the day.
Printed Viscose Crepon and an Embroidered Bodice
The printed viscose crepon has that grainy relief which keeps the cloth off the skin; the composition remains 100% viscose. An embroidery covers the bodice and gives body to the neckline, while the long sleeves gather onto an elastic at the wrist. A slip is supplied with the dress.
How to Wear It in Mid-Season
Blue takes camel very well: a long trench left open, round-toed ankle boots, a fine scarf at the neck. For more cover, slip a thin roll-neck underneath and leave the neck ties showing, with opaque tights and lace-up boots. The uneven hem works with flat heels as readily as with chunky soles.
One Size and Measurements
One size, cut for FR 38 to 44 (UK 10 to 16, US 6 to 12). Length 148 cm at the front and 157 cm at the back, sleeves 51 cm, chest 54 cm, waist 61,5 cm. The armhole measures around 22 cm and the sleeve elastic around 19 cm, measured flat, garment laid out. Cristina, in the photographs, is 178 cm tall.
Care
Dry cleaning is what the house recommends, and it is also what protects the trim best: the threads and the stitching stay exactly where they were placed. Steam from a distance between wears.
