Navy and flashes of mirror
The Lucille Long Dress holds to a deep navy, with no second colour to distract from it. A geometric motif runs across the cloth, outlined in mirror embroidery that throws the light back the moment you move. The cut drops straight to the ankle, roomy without floating.
Supple modal and mirror embroidery
The fabric is a soft, light modal, smooth to the hand, with a drape that follows the leg instead of clinging to it. The sleeves stop at three-quarter length, just below the elbow. The matching belt is included: tied high it lifts the waist, left aside it lets the dress return to its straight line.
Layering it up
Three-quarter sleeves call for a fine long-sleeved top underneath, navy or ecru, with the cuffs showing. Add tall boots and opaque tights. Second route: a menswear blazer over the top, the dress belt worn over the jacket to draw the shape in, and square-toed boots. The mirror embroidery takes care of the evening.

Care
One trip to the dry cleaner and the ornament stays crisp. Dry cleaning, which is what the house recommends, looks after the fabric and the stitching alike. Store the piece flat or on a wide hanger.
