Ecru, black, and embroidery that shapes the front
On an ecru ground, a floral motif meets dense black embroidery that draws the whole front of the Dorine dress. The V-neck opens the line, the cut stays fluid from bodice to hem. Two colours, nothing else.
Rayon crepe and an embroidered panel
The fabric is 100% rayon crepe, matte, with the faint grain that keeps a garment off the skin. The black embroidery forms a panel across the front, trims the sleeve hems and the centre of the bodice. The matching belt is included with the dress.
Wearing it in layers
Black opaque tights, round-toe ankle boots and a cropped fine-knit jumper left open over the panel: the dress holds the whole day. In the evening, belt it over a long coat and let the embroidery show under the collar. A soft leather bag and heeled boots finish the silhouette. The ecru ground keeps the whole thing from turning severe.

Care
A dry cleaner, and nothing else. The dry cleaning the house recommends is gentle on the embroidery threads, which a harsher treatment would eventually pull. Keep the piece on a wide hanger, out of the light. Avoid a thin hanger, which ends up marking the shoulders.
